The Twisted Land of Oz sketch

Welp my version of the Wizard of Oz, because I was watching this.


Meet Dorothea (Means Gift in Greek), a girl in her mid teens whose parents had died in an accident, making her leave her home in the city to live with her aunt and uncle in the country. They were caring, but ever since the accident, Dorothea was no longer the cheerful and curious girl she was. She took a vow of silence and was locked in her room. Wanting her to smile again, the two homeschooled Dorothea and showered her in happiness and laughter, even giving her a puppy. Dorothea eventually gave in and smiled, loving her aunt and uncle the same way she did with her parents.

When reaching her teenage years, she found this life more boring and began to go out more into the world, wanting to satisfy her curiousity with her pet by her side. Her aunt and uncle worried about her when she started to travel, but she always told them she'll be fine.


One day, Dorothea and her pet dog was hanging out in the city, until she heard that a tornado was coming. She made it home, but unfortunately she was too late. She looked for her aunt and uncle in the house, and looked for them in her room, unknown that they were hiding in the basement. Dorothea became terrified and was hit on the head by flying objects, being knocked out cold.

When she woke up, Dorothea found herself in the land of Oz, and her house appeared to have landed on a witch, angering her sister who vows to kill the girl. Now she has to find a way to get home while going on an adventure.
